First acquaintance: aromatic diffusers

History

About the extraordinary effects of fragrances on human well-being and mood were known in antiquity. Archaeologists even found small vessels for incense during the excavation of the cultural layers of the 5th millennium BC. e. And surely these are not the earliest ancestors of modern aroma diffusers.

Pure ethers for them to learn to learn a little later. It is believed that the first to succeed is the famous medic Avicenna, but this is not true. For example, in India, aromatic oils were added to building solutions for the construction of temples, and in ancient Greek Corinth in the V century BC. e. Worked real factories for the production of incense.

Our days

Today, aromatic diffusers are again in favor and are used as perfumes for the home. They turned out to be much more efficient than ordinary air fresheners, more convenient and safer than aroma candles, lamps and smoking sticks. They have other advantages:

- Evaporation of interior perfumes occurs naturally - without fire. This means that the diffuser can be safely left in any room unattended.

- Long-lasting action - the perfume will smell sweet until the airs finally disappear from the bottle (which is 4–8 weeks).

- The composition of the aromatic compositions include only natural essential oils - without fragrances and synthetic components. They are not only safe, but also have a therapeutic effect: improve health, relieve stress and even help to cope with some diseases.

All this allows the wide use of diffusers for flavoring home interiors, offices, shops and showrooms.

Main types of diffusers

Reed

Traditional diffusers are a conventional bubble with aroma liquid. Several reeds are placed in it, which serve as evaporators. Sticks can be made of rattan, bamboo or chemically inert polymers. The main thing in them is a porous structure. Essential oils through the capillaries and pores of the reeds will rise from the bottle and evaporate naturally, filling the room with the chosen aroma.

Rules for the use of reed diffusers:

1. Do not leave a bottle of perfume in the light - like any expensive perfume, a natural composition under the action of ultraviolet radiation can deteriorate. It is also undesirable to keep the vial near the heating devices. Even if the increased temperature does not destroy the ethers, it will accelerate their evaporation, and the house spirits will quickly end.

2. From time to time, turn the chopsticks so that the aroma in the room becomes richer. And if you want to "dampen" the smell a little, just remove a few reeds.

3. Do not try to use the diffuser to the last drop - over time, its aroma changes, as the lighter substances of the upper notes evaporate faster than the heart and base. The fact that it is time to update the composition, says and change the color of the perfume.

4. For each new flavor, use clean sticks.

Ceramic models

Outwardly, these diffusers are not similar to reed, but they work on the same principle. Perfume from flakonchik rise to the evaporator, made of porous ceramics. It is also saturated with perfume and spreads the smell throughout the room, as well as ordinary sticks. The only difference is that such an accessory looks more like a bubble of expensive perfume or a miniature vase with a beautiful flower.

By the way, when the aromatic blend ends in it, do not rush to throw out the elegant bottle. Buy a topping tank with a new or already loved smell and refill the diffuser - let it work further. Such bubbles today can be found in all lines of aroma accessories: both ceramic and reed. It is much cheaper than buying a new kit with a vaporizer.

Above all, keep the topping bottle tightly closed in a cool and dark place to keep the smell.

Capacitance diffusers

These are various pendants and sculptures that work on the principle of a ceramic diffuser. But there is nowhere to pour the perfume here, so a spray with an aromatic composition is included with each accessory. You just need to sprinkle from the bottle on the figure of porcelain, and the liquid is immediately absorbed.

The effect of such diffusers is not too long, but you can independently adjust the intensity of the fragrance by spraying it out of the bubble more or less often, in larger or smaller quantities.

A few words about fragrances

Home perfumery should be not only pleasant, but also safe for humans. This means that you need to choose natural interior perfumes made from natural essential oils.

These can be monoaromatics, that is, perfumes with the smell of a single flower or fruit. In the elite collections of diffusers, there are more often complex compositions lined up according to the rules of the pyramid. They gradually unfold one after another until all together sound like a single chord:

- Top or head notes are the flavors of the lightest volatile esters. We hear them first and foremost and for a very short time (10–15 min). They seem to introduce us to the smell, but do not give a complete picture of its beauty.

- Heart notes are the main part of the composition, which allows characterizing perfume as floral or fruity, sweet or fresh. Here, the aromas are more persistent, and in the bouquet they are heard better than others.

- Base notes. The task of these components is to keep the main smell as long as possible. Nevertheless, perfumers widely use beautiful flavors in the database as an exquisite seasoning - to give the whole composition a special “aftertaste”.

How to use aroma diffuser

Currently there are a large number of different types of aroma diffusers. They differ in appearance and aroma mechanics. Manufacturers are constantly developing and offering users new models that will improve existing ones on the market. The simplest aroma diffusers are glass (ceramic) container and aroma conductors, which play the role of a wick. Electric and ultrasonic aroma diffusers in their work are completely autonomous. At times, the possibility of using it as a night-light or humidifier is added to their main aromatization function.

Use of aroma diffuser with chopsticks

Aromatic diffuser with chopsticks - quite a popular means of light aromatization of living space. Such demand is more related to the aesthetic component. As well as the prevalence, ease of use and a large price range (from 300 rubles to infinity). Similar containers are sometimes used in bathrooms and toilets in hotels and inns.

It is very simple to use aroma diffusers with chopsticks: the aromatic liquid spreads the smell in the room. Long wooden (reed) sticks serve as conductors of aroma, a peculiar wick. Liquid (if it is of natural origin) includes base and essential oils. In the case of artificial flavoring components are, respectively, synthetic.

The capacity of such aroma diffusers, as a rule, with a narrow neck and a lid with holes where the rods are inserted. When using aroma diffusion, the number of sticks can vary from a smaller number to a larger one, if the intensity of the aroma is to be increased. Turning the sticks will help increase the intensity.

It is best to use aroma diffusion in a well-ventilated, sunny place. Sunlight and the movement of air contributes to the strengthening of the aroma and its movement around the room (but of course you should not put the bottle in the draft).

If the smell is strongly pronounced and you want to reduce it - just leave one or two sticks. Tired of the smell - just close the diffuser airtight lid.

There is nothing difficult in making a natural aroma diffuser with your own hands. Such a subject will play a therapeutic role if it contains natural essential oils.

How to use automatic odor diffusion

The principle of operation of automatic aroma diffusers is similar to aroma lamps: when a liquid is heated, the aroma spreads throughout the room. Only instead of the flame of a candle an electric heating element is used. As a rule, manufacturers require installation of equipment on a smooth, flat surface: a table, a bedside table, a wardrobe, etc. away from animals, drafts and small children.

First you need to remove the cover (if available). Then pour water. The liquid should be at room temperature — not too hot, and not cold. How much to pour water - as a rule, a limiter line is drawn in the tank. After the water is poured, you need to add essential oils to your choice. 3-5 drops will be quite enough for flavoring a small room of 20-30 sq. M.

How does the aromatic diffuser works?

Aromatic diffuser - unlike candles, sachets and chemical flavors - the most subtle, environmentally friendly and effective option for flavoring the room. Moreover, not everyone understands its device, and not everyone knows how to use it correctly. We decided to correct this mistake.

The word "diffuser" comes from the Latin word diffusion, which means "dispersion."

The classic aromatic diffuser consists of three parts: a bottle, sticks and essential oil. The sticks are most often made from pottery, rattan, cane or bamboo. The most effective ones are from rattan. They have a loose surface, as if consisting of capillaries, along which the aromatic liquid can move upwards, causing the aroma in the room to increase. Also sticks can be made from fiber. In essence, these are compressed cotton fibers.

When buying an aromatic diffuser, remember - when it runs out of liquid, it is not necessary to buy a new bottle, in specialized stores they sell a refill bottle (filler for an aromatic diffuser) with aromatic oil.

Try not to use at the same time several diffusers with different aromas for the house, there is a possibility that the aromas will kill each other and nothing good will come of it.

Before purchasing an aromatic diffuser, it is important to understand how much the bottle should have and for how long it will last. It is believed that 100 - 150 ml is perfect for rooms up to 10-15 square meters. This diffuser lasts for 4 - 6 weeks. A bottle of 200 - 250 ml is suitable for a room of 15-25 square meters. This amount of oil is enough for 8 - 12 weeks of operation of the diffuser. Large bottles of 500 ml are able to scent a room of 20-40 square meters. Such a volume evaporates for a long time - from 12 to 15 weeks.

It is important to know - the wider the neck of the diffuser, the more intense and faster the aroma will evaporate. But the sharpness of the smell can be controlled precisely by the number of sticks. It is believed that the sticks should be turned upside down about 1 - 2 times a week. Fiber sticks should not be turned at all.
